In our first 2 league games last year we scored 0-8 and 1-11 and lost both. Half time in the Meath game the system was changed we totted up 1-20 and went on a 5 game unbeaten run. I know all is fine and dandy now.. new manager new hope all is looking good but look at the players Cavan are missing for the league.. Yes there was great work done at u21 level by Terry and co since 2010. Yes we got promoted last year after going on a run of 5 games unbeaten from half time in the Meath game. People close to the setup knows who's origionally responsible for that surge. We retreated into our defensive mode once again for the championship, thus a game that was there for the taking was lost in the line. Really management last year making things up as they went along that was plain to be seen. It's a new era now with Mattie who seemingly know what he's doing. A welcome change for the better.
