Amazing achievements. I believe they must have a great core of parents and coaching and participation. I hope it translates to Senior level soon. Best of luck to them.

They'll need a few more years for they're population to pay dividend. 4 or 5 more years. They threw away last years minor hurling final and the 2 point win in this year's flattered they're opponents. They're have great numbers participating but also very well coached and physically very strong for both U16 and minor. Definitely on the rise.

I doubt Oranmore will have too many on that minor panel next year. Outside of Gus Lohan, who is a serious prospect and got 0-09 from play in the county final, there might only be two or three others making the panel. I'd say there will be a big spread of clubs on that panel next year. There was nothing between Oranmore, Athenry, Loughrea and a good few other teams at that level this year. What difference does it make how many are the minor panel next year???? Athenry had 5 involved in this year's. One outfield player stood out in the county final and 3 duds... Oranmore will probably have at least 4 depending on injuries...

Lovely description of underage players , I'm assuming you had a distinguished inter county career as a coach or player yourself in order to qualify your opinion , and I would suggest Oranmore will have 1 starter with the possibility of 1 or 2 more off the bench with the G u17s next year , their strength is in numbers not overall quality, either way doesn't make much difference anyway to overall development anyway

It's not. €22 to stream the football, so expect the same again here. Pricey like everything else involved with Galway GAA TV.

It's gas.....the prices of everything from food, to non-alcoholic beverages, to miscellaneous goods and services, to whatever you're having yourself, can absolutely go through the roof, and lads shtill expect to get into Athenry, and see end of season double headers for a tenner.

"Shtill"....euugh one of those. Have a go at reading that again. No one expects to get into games for a tenner. It's the streaming we're talking about. If they can stream games for 15 euro or whatever all year, to bump the price for county final seems pure opportunistic given there shouldn't be additional costs. Its up to each individual county board whether they choose to take up any offers from tg4 or rte to show any club games including finals.

If it was fixed for Sunday I'm sure tg4 would have shown it. The county board would lose a fortune on streaming so they ensured it wouldn't be Sunday.
