Verdicts?" Ill take a stab at the senior for now.
Group A - D/A will be smiling with this draw, Na Fianna will hoping to qualify with them however Dunshaughlin and Curraha will be also hoping to join them
Verdict - D/A & Na Fianna
Group B - Any of the 4 could make it out of this group, be like my house , nothing in it, however I have to pick two so ill take a stab at.
Dunboyne & Trim.
Groups C - Fairly straight forward here with Ratoath topping the group and winners of Skyrne/Cilles joining them. Moynalvey have lost so many players this season and will find it very tough going unless they can coax a few of them back. Cilles internal problems with new club Eastern Gaels could be a pimple on their ****.
Verdict Ratoath & Skyrne
Group D - Jesus my beloved Bracks have definitely joined the Group of Death. Where would you start, well we will give any of the teams in the group a run for their money if we can avoid injuries although we will be favourites for relegation on paper. Whoever loses their first game will be under astronomical pressure and it could result in dead rubber games yet again. Summerhill will be favourites to top the group on form with Wolfe tones and kells hoping to join them, however don't rule out the Bracks, with our best 15 on the field we wont fear any of the teams.
Verdict - Summerhill & ........ whoever can have a slice of luck with injuries.

Couple of points on the draw system Teams should be seeded, semi finalists from previous year should be in separate groups, groups are very lob sided again this year
Putting 3rd and 4th placed teams unto relegation is nuts, there has to be some incentive to finish 3rd, we will see a raft of games in round 3 where at least one team will have nothing to play for.

Group A: Na Fianna & D/Ash should prevail with minimum fuss here. Can't see Dunshaughlin beating either. Another relegation scrap for Curaha
Group B: Dunboyne and Trim should go through, unless Simonstown get their house in order. Seneschalstown going in the right direction though
Group C: Ratoath to sail through. Toss up between Skryne and St.Colimcilles for second. Moynalvy are in total free fall with lads gone to Australia and are staring down the barrel at relegation
Group D: Group of death. Summerhill and Tones for me

The Two winners from rd 1 should play each other in rd 2. That way the 3rd rd wont be all dead rubbers as per last couple of yrs.

Replying To Islander21: "The Two winners from rd 1 should play each other in rd 2. That way the 3rd rd wont be all dead rubbers as per last couple of yrs." They do this in Dublin. Think I saw somewhere last year a comparison of the dead rubbers in Meath v in Dublin in the last round. Much more in Meath. Only 4th team goes into relegation in Dublin too. I think the county board's reasoning here is more games (more money too) but it results in a lower quality.

I think the group of death is a great thing and there will be a lot of neutrals at the Kells, Shill and Tones matches. Also the last two winners came from the group of death.
3rd place in relegation makes sense, however I am not a fan of it. Dunshaughlin and O Mahonys both were relegated after finishing 3rd. At the minute Moynalvey should be relegated based on their results and not fielding in the Feis Cup but one win in a championship relegation match and they are safe.

•Group A: 1)Don/Ash vs Dunshaughlin 2)Na Fianna vs Curraha
It looks to me like this will be a Don/Ash and Dunshaughlin 1 2 but Na Fianna will be tough to beat on their day - but I'll go for them being 3rd. Curraha, very impacted by lads travelling, will be in the relegation play offs and probably avoid the drop again!
•Group B: 1)Simonstown vs Trim 2)Senchelstown vs Dunboyne
In my mind, Simonstown will finish bottom here as both Trim and Seneschalstown have good young players coming through. I think Dunboyne will win the group and I think Trim will edge Seneshalstown in their head to head and go through in second!
•Group C: 1)Ratoath vs Moynalvey 2)St Colmcilles vs Skyrne
I think Ratoath and Skyrne will come out of this group but I expect Cilles to put it up to both of them! I wouldn't be surprised if Cilles proved me wrong here!
•Group D: 1)Wolfe Tones vs Gaeil Colmcille 2)Ballinabracky vs Summerhill
This is going to be a real cracker - Ballinabrackey are hard to beat always and the other 3 are 'big names'! I think Summerhill will top the group on their way to the County Final and I feel Kells will nick second spot!!

Replying To gagaa: "I think "the group of death" has 4 teams (a little disrespectful)." I don't think its disrespectful at all, 3 of the teams have contested county finals over the past few years and one of them was county champions 2 years ago. Ballinabrackey have barely survived relegation twice and are definitely the whipping boys in this one. The 3 teams will be looking to victory without red cards or injurues imo
Summerhill and Kells to just make it through i reckon

Summerhill and Kells to just make it through i reckon" "Barely survived relegation" is a bit much. They've finished third in both their seasons in senior. They were beaten on penalties by Simonstown last year (after easily beating Dunboyne in the group stages) before easily beating NOM in the relegation semi final. In 2021, they were a bit unlucky not to end up in the knockout stages with Na Fianna drawing with them in their last game. Again, they easily survived in the relegation semi final.
